 A virtual coaching service and our most budget-friendly option! We will schedule a call with you to discuss your gardening inquiries in increments of 30 minutes at a sliding scale rate of $30-$50 . This service is good for people with specific questions in mind, whether you are a first time coaching client or a returning gardener who needs some quick follow up support.

Ask A Farmer Session

1 hour Q+A session with an urban farmer, in your own garden! Great for growers of all experience levels who are tired of scrolling the internet and just want to talk to a professional.  While onsite, we will evaluate your growing space, discuss your specific questions, and offer recommendations that will best fit your unique garden and goals.

Plan Your Patch Package

$350

A customized garden plan tailored to your goals and growing conditions. Similar to the ‘Ask a Farmer Visit’, we will meet with you in your garden for a 1 hour consultation to evaluate your site and discuss your goals, the crops you want to grow, and any specific questions you have. We will use that information to create a tailored guide for you to follow during the growing season, including the following:

  • Map of your garden beds.

  • Crop plan that maps out where to plant each crop. It details plant and row spacing, trellising recommendations, and succession plantings. 

  • Planting calendar that outlines when to plant each crop, whether you should transplant or direct seed, and timing for succession plantings.

  • Action plan which offers step-by-step instructions for executing your garden plan.

* The listed price of this package is based on the average size range of most residential gardens with an upper limit of 200 sq ft (approx. six 4x8 beds). For gardens with additional square footage, we will discuss adjusted pricing with you prior to your visit.

* This service is for those with established growing space, as well as for those that need help deciding where to install new garden beds. For the latter, we can create a new garden bed layout design in addition to the services listed above. To design a new garden bed layout for you, we charge an additional fee of $50/hr. Most residential growing spaces will need between 1-2 hours of design time. Our garden bed layout design will map the size, shape and location of your new garden beds. They are not installation blueprints, but we do include recommendations on materials and installation considerations for DIY builders. We do not offer installation services, but if you wish to have someone build and install your garden beds for you, we can offer some referrals. If you have any questions, we are happy to talk with you!

Farmer Follow-Up Visit

$100/hr

 For anything that comes up after your first coaching visit. These visits can be booked following either the ‘Ask a Farmer Session’ or the ‘Plan your Patch Package,’ and will be charged at a rate of $100 for each hour onsite.

Some examples may include: planting demonstrations, mid-season garden feedback, pruning/trellising demonstrations, maintenance tutoring, pest and disease troubleshooting.
